Straight answers
Do I need a capture card?
No. A saved PS5 or Xbox recording works, and so does your phone pointed at your TV. The clearer the shot, the more of the score and stats the coach can read.
How much of the match should I record?
One full match, up to about 10 minutes. Keep recording until the scoreboard shows. If your video is longer, you pick the 10 minutes to coach.
Why can't I upload my replay file from PS5 or Xbox?
Rocket League only writes .replay files to a PC's disk. Consoles have no way to export them, which is why MMR.coach reads video instead.
What does a .replay file give me on PC?
The exact scoreboard (goals, assists, saves, shots, score) and the goal timeline. It has no positioning or boost, so for those drop a screen recording instead.
