MMR.coach analyzes Rocket League gameplay and returns coaching feedback. You can use it without creating an account, and the short version is that we collect the gameplay you upload, an anonymous identifier so your reports come back to you, and an email address only if you choose to give one.
What we collect
Gameplay you upload. If you upload a video, your browser samples about 14 still frames locally and uploads only those images. The video file itself does not leave your device. If you upload a PC .replay file, that file is uploaded, because parsing it is the entire point.
An anonymous account. The first time you analyze something, we create an anonymous identity for you. It has no name, no password and no email attached. It exists so your reports come back to the right browser and so the free-analysis count works.
Your in-game name, if you type it. The upload box asks for it so the coach reads the right player in a clip with several cars on screen. It is stored with that analysis and used for nothing else.
Onboarding answers, if you take the setup. Platform, self-reported rank, the position you usually play, and the short survey answers. They are stored on your anonymous profile and used to personalize the coaching (for example, comparing the rank you said against the rank the coach sees). The setup is optional and every step can be skipped.
A player ID, only if you use replay sync. The PC replay sync on /connectstores the platform and player ID you type (a SteamID64, Epic ID, PSN name, gamertag or Switch name) so we can look up your own replays on Ballchasing and nobody else's. Email us to have it removed.
Coach chat messages. Follow-up questions you ask on a report, and the answers, are stored with that report so the conversation is still there when you come back to it. They are sent to Anthropic to generate the reply, along with the report they are about.
An email address, only if you give one. There are three optional places: next to the upload box, on a finished report, and at checkout (where Stripe collects it). We use it to tell you when a weakness you were working on actually improves, and to warn you if a payment fails so your coaching is not cut off by a declined card. We do not email you your report; it is on the page the moment it is ready.
Payment details, which we never see. Stripe handles checkout end to end. Card numbers never reach our servers. We store the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers so we know what you have access to.
Basic usage analytics. Page views and a small set of product events (an analysis finished, a paywall was shown) via Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not build a cross-site profile of you.
Who else processes it
Anthropic runs the AI that reads your gameplay and writes the coaching report. Your frames or replay data are sent there for that purpose. Supabase stores the data and runs the anonymous auth. Stripe processes payments. Vercel and Render host the site and the API. Resend sends email when we send any.
Google Ads conversion measurement. When we run ads, the site loads Google's tag from googletagmanager.com. It sets Google cookies in your browser and tells Google when a visit that came from an ad turned into a finished report or a purchase, so we can tell which ads are worth paying for. What is sent: the event itself, the purchase value and currency, a Stripe checkout session id, and the report id, so the same purchase or report is not counted twice. No gameplay, no email address and no chat content is sent to Google. Until ads are switched on, none of this loads at all.
We do not sell your data. The only advertiser we share anything with is Google, as described above, and only the conversion signals listed there. We do not use your gameplay to train anyone's models.
How long we keep it
Uploaded frames and replay files, and the reports generated from them, are kept indefinitely so your progress history stays meaningful over time. There is no automatic deletion today. If you want yours removed, ask and we will delete it.
Your choices
Email is always optional. Marketing and lifecycle mail (a weakness improved, a nudge to come back) always has an unsubscribe link, and one click stops all of it. The one message we send regardless is a payment-failure warning to someone with an active paid plan, because silently cutting off something you paid for is worse. You can ask us to delete your data, tell you what we hold, or export it, by emailing maxxthemate@gmail.com. Because accounts are anonymous by design, we may need you to send the request from the browser you used, or give us a report link, so we can find the right data.
Depending on where you live you may have rights under the GDPR or the CCPA to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to processing. The same address handles all of it, and we do not charge for it or treat you differently for asking.
Children
MMR.coach is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has uploaded something, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who processes it, the date at the top changes with it.
