MMR.coach

Frequently asked questions

Everything players ask before dropping their first clip: how the read works, what it costs, how accurate it is, and what happens to your footage.

The basics

What is MMR.coach?

An AI coach for Rocket League. You give it a clip of a game you actually played (filmed with your phone, a saved console clip, or a PC replay), and it hands back your top 3 weaknesses, each tied to the moment it happened, plus a drill to fix each one. Then you can ask it follow-up questions about that specific game.

Do I need to make an account?

No. There is no signup and no password. Drop a clip and you get a report. An account only enters the picture if you subscribe, since Stripe needs somewhere to attach the billing.

Which platforms does it support?

PS5, Xbox, Switch and PC. Console platforms cannot export the .replay file every other Rocket League analyzer requires, which is why MMR.coach reads ordinary video instead. PC players can drop a video too, or use the .replay file for more exact stats.

Does it work at every rank?

Yes. It reads whatever is actually happening in your footage rather than comparing you against a fixed skill bracket, so it works the same way from Bronze to Champion and above.

How the analysis works

How does the AI actually read my game?

For a filmed or saved video, your browser samples about 14 frames from the clip and sends only those, not the whole file, to Claude's vision model, which reads car position, boost, rotation and challenge timing across them. For a PC .replay file, the header is parsed directly for exact scoreboard stats and the goal timeline. Either way you get the same report format: top 3 weaknesses, evidence, and a drill.

How long does my clip need to be?

10 to 30 seconds of real gameplay is enough. You do not need to upload a full match, just the part you want reviewed.

What do I actually get back?

An estimated rank, your top 3 weaknesses ranked by how much they're costing you, each tied to the exact moment it happened in your footage, why it caps your rank, and one drill per weakness. From there you can ask the coach follow-up questions about that specific game.

Can I push back or ask it questions?

Yes. After a report, you can chat with the coach about that game. It has the context of what it just watched, so you can ask why it flagged something or what it would have done differently.

Do I need the PC .replay file?

No. That file only exists on PC and cannot be exported from a console. MMR.coach's whole reason for existing is reading video instead, so filming your screen with your phone or uploading a saved clip works on any platform. If you're on PC and have the .replay file, dropping that gets you more exact numbers.

Pricing and billing

Is it actually free to try?

Yes. Your first 3 analyses are free, with no card and no account required. You only hit a paywall on the 4th.

What do the paid plans cost?

$9 a month, $27 a year (under $2.25/month), or $99 once for lifetime access with no recurring charge. All three unlock unlimited analyses and full chat.

Which plan should I pick?

Monthly if you want to try it commitment-free and cancel anytime. Annual if you already know you'll use it past a couple of months, since it works out cheapest per month of anyone still paying. Lifetime if you'd rather pay once and never think about it again.

How do I cancel?

From a Stripe-hosted billing portal, linked from inside the product once you're subscribed. You can cancel, switch plans, or update your card there without contacting anyone. Lifetime is a one-time charge, so there's nothing to cancel.

What happens if I switch plans?

The change applies immediately and Stripe prorates the difference on your next invoice, so you're never charged twice for the same period.

Accuracy and honesty

How accurate is the analysis?

For positioning, rotation, challenge timing and boost habits, which is what decides most games below Champion, a video read is genuinely reliable. What it can't do is give you exact telemetry: no average boost number, no percentile against your rank. For that you'd need the .replay file, which only PC can produce. The rank estimate is also a band read from one match, not a precise MMR number.

Is this better than a human coach?

It's not trying to replace one. A human coach adapts to you across sessions and can watch live. MMR.coach is instant, cheap and available for every single game, which makes it a good first pass, homework between real coaching sessions, or the only option when a human coach isn't worth booking for one clip. The partner program is built for exactly that: a coach hands it to clients for homework between sessions and earns 30% recurring on the ones who subscribe.

Is there proof this actually works?

Honestly, not yet in the form of reviews or testimonials. The product is new and we'd rather say that plainly than invent social proof. What you can check yourself in under a minute: drop one of your own clips and see whether the weaknesses it names match what you already suspected but couldn't prove.

Your data and privacy

What happens to my video?

For a filmed or saved clip, the full video never leaves your device. Your browser samples roughly 14 frames locally and only those images get uploaded. For a PC .replay file, the file itself is uploaded since that's what gets parsed for exact stats.

Is my gameplay data private?

Uploaded frames and replay files are stored against your session in Supabase Storage, the same infrastructure behind the product's database and auth, and are not shared, sold, or made public. Your account is anonymous by default: no name, no password, and no card unless you subscribe. An email is attached only if you choose to enter one, which is always optional. Full detail is in the privacy policy.

Can I sync replays automatically instead of uploading each one?

If you're on PC and run BakkesMod with its Ballchasing auto-upload plugin, you can connect your Ballchasing identity and pull recent matches in without dropping files one at a time. That's the only place Rocket League replays exist online, since neither Steam nor Epic exposes them, so it's the honest mechanism rather than a generic "connect your account."

Still not sure?

The fastest way to find out is to drop one of your own clips. The first 3 analyses are free, no card and no account.
