Why this is different for you
Rocket League writes the .replay file to a PC's local disk and nowhere else. Consoles have no way to export it, which is why ballchasing and every analyzer built on it is PC-only. That has nothing to do with how good you are and everything to do with a file format.

Straight answers
Do I need a capture card?
No. A phone pointed at your screen is genuinely enough. Glare and a slight angle do not stop the coach reading where your car was and when you committed.
Why can't I just upload my replay from PS5?
The file only exists inside the console's own save data and there is no supported way to get it out. Not over USB, not through the share features, not through the Rocket League app. This is a platform limitation, not a setting you missed.
Is this as accurate as the PC tools?
For exact numbers, no, and we will not pretend otherwise. A video cannot tell you your average boost was 31 or put you in a percentile. What it does catch is positioning, rotation, challenge timing and boost habits, which is what decides games below Champion.
